We make engineering knowledge
outlast the engineers.

Constraints, decisions, and hard-won lessons — governed into a living system, so nothing walks out the door when people do.

We built our own methodology to make it hold — and we work fluently in yours.

What we do ↓
// WHO WE ARE

A consultancy that doesn't stop at the report.

The usual engagement reviews your documents and hands back a presentation. We work alongside your engineers instead — as deeply as the problem needs — and leave you owning the system we build together.

We meet you in the world you already run — ISO 15288, SysML, DOORS, Cameo — and reach for our own methodology only where the problem calls for it. That range keeps us honest: when it isn't the right fit for your programme, we say so. We'd rather be the group you trust than the one that oversold you.

Bifrost — and the parts that feed it.

One methodology at the centre. Norn derives into it, Mimir's standard library feeds it, and Fenrir extends it to failure analysis.

Bifrost
The methodology at the centre

The NFSI model — Need, Function, Solution, Implementation — and the governed requirements library that keeps every constraint traceable from stakeholder need to physical build. Everything else plugs into it.

Norn
Derivation · feeds Bifrost

Derives the structured requirement set from stakeholder needs, layer by layer. Machine proposes; human decides.

Mimir
Std. Requirement Library · feeds Bifrost

Turns published standards into a governed, reusable requirement library that imports straight into Bifrost.

Fenrir
Failure Analysis · connected to Bifrost

dFMEA over the requirement set — failure modes as the negative space of requirements, mitigations governed back into the library.

And it ships as software you can run — a self-hosted backend with a ready-to-use workbench on top, deployable in the cloud, on your servers, or fully air-gapped. See how it's built →

// THE LIVING LIBRARY

We build your requirements library — and keep it alive.

The library is the asset that outlasts your engineers. We stand it up and keep it current from three directions — with a human gate on everything that enters.

Standards in

Mimir turns published standards into governed, reusable requirement entries.

Needs derived

Norn derives the structured requirement set from your stakeholder needs, layer by layer.

Gaps filled

Where something is missing, generative AI drafts it — always for a human to approve.

One governed library
Nothing enters without review — the library never contains lies.

Air-gap-true, not air-gap-compatible.

The AI splits in two: retrieval grounded in your own library, so it cannot invent answers, and a separable generative half that only ever drafts for a human to decide. Both run entirely on your premises, disconnected — nothing phones home, and nothing leaves the airgap.

We meet a defense programme exactly at its data-sovereignty and AI-risk line — without forcing a compromise in either direction.

// HOW WE WORK WITH YOU

Start with a diagnosis. Then the work only we do.

A low-commitment assessment scopes the engagement; from there we scale into the signature work.

The front door

SE / MBSE maturity assessment & diagnostic

A low-commitment entry that scopes and justifies everything below. Honest by design — it sometimes concludes that our methodology isn't the answer, and points you elsewhere. That is the assessment working, not failing.

01

Requirements-library governance

The living library as an operating model — release gate, deprecation lifecycle, and the discipline that keeps it trustworthy. A system we install, not a cleanup task.

02

NFSI requirement derivation

Generating the full structured requirement set from stakeholder needs, with human review gates — not curating one that already exists.

03

Prime ↔ subcontractor interchange governance

Governing the sealed handshake across the org boundary — blackbox Solution out, Need in, waivers and merge-on-return. The deliverable no consultancy has conceived of.

We also do the table stakes — SE/MBSE transformation, legacy migration, ISO 15288 alignment, tool integration (Cameo / Teamwork Cloud), knowledge capture, dFMEA / failure analysis, on-prem AI deployment, and hands-on training & workshops.

// GO DEEPER

Every part, in full depth.

The reference layer — the method, each engine, and the running platform, in as much detail as you care to read.

Methodology Canon
The Bifrost Method

NFSI, the three relationships, architecture trees, the release gate, library governance, and ISO 15288 alignment.

Derivation Engine
Norn

How requirements are derived layer by layer — structured proposals, a parallel quality gate, and mandatory human review.

Standard Requirement Library
Mimir

The sealed standard-bundle format — how a published standard becomes a governed, importable requirement library.

Failure Analysis
Fenrir

Graph-based dFMEA over the requirement set — failure modes, inherited end-effect severity, and mitigations governed back through the release gate.

Implementation
Platform & Workbenches

How it is built and run — the backend, the Bifrost and Fenrir workbenches, and the live engineering environments you can open now.

Start with an honest assessment.

No discovery-call theatre. Tell us the programme and the seam you're worried about — we'll tell you whether we're the right group for it.
